My first ever professional makeup+photo shoot, so pardon the dolled-up look. I can almost hear the, "is this really Gia Clarissa?" echoing. I reckon if anyone can experience the opportunity of having it done, go for it. Thanks to Studio 1000 Photography at Penrith for doing an amazing job. In this photo, I'm wearing a 'Warrior' necklace which I received after completing the THarvEker Quantum Leap Program. The word 'Strength' is engraved on it which signified a major turning point in my life.

Decided to wear sentimental items for this shoot: Citrine ring from my husband; watch from my sister to remember Angel; Rose Quartz bracelet from a valued mentor of mine and her team; Dzi bracelet I bought; musical note-patterned shawls from a dear friend; 'Warrior' necklace with the word 'Strength'; Carpe Diem ring from a close friend and a crystal ring on its way from another long-standing friend.

Considering I got a very special deal for the photo's, which included hair and make-up, I just had to include this 3rd photo. It certainly does me justice, being that I'm looking much younger. It's amazing what a bit of make-up and hair curlers can do. I'm still basking at the experience of this first make-over and photo shoot, in my life! Thank you Nick, I appreciate this so much!

Kelly's on King, Newtown (Sydney). This is where my journey began. I met Russell Neal, the organiser of the 'Songs on Stage' Sydney gigs at a publishing seminar. He included me on an email list and I discovered the 'Songs on Stage' Contest which he was hosting on Monday nights. I'll always be thankful and appreciative of Russell Neal for this opportunity, and I'm certain many other musicians would be. Thanks Russell!

That's me at the stage area of Kelly's on King. I brought Nick's Kawai Keyboard from the 90's...played covers and originals every week from October 2016 to November 2016.

After making it to the finals of the 'Songs on Stage' contest, I visited Bunk Bed Beat's Helmut Uhlmann and asked about learning how to record my own music at home. After getting another promotion rejection, I made a decision to be happy regardless. Asked him if he could record my music, rather than my having to learn how to do this from scratch. The recording of the album started on 23 November 2016 at the Redfern studio, and I was the last artist to be recorded there. Talk about timing!
